Street Fighter fans have expected Capcom to reveal one of Street Fighter 6’s roster during the EVO 2022 finals. That’s now confirmed to be true. However, Capcom apparently isn’t revealing just one character. It’s revealing two. The leak came from Capcom itself, as the German account for the publisher seems to have posted the announcements early. Across two now-deleted posts, Capcom confirmed new character Kimberly and returning fighter Juri will be joining Street Fighter 6’s roster.

A loose translation of the Capcom tweet describes Kimberly as the student of Final Fight and Street Fighter Alpha protagonist Guy. Kimberly is said to be obsessed with the 80s and carries around a cassette player on her hip. The image shared with the Kimberly leak shows her having defeated Luke, her braids hanging in the air as if she inherited Necalli’s hair physics. Fans of Guy’s bushinryu style can look forward to Kimberly being a part of Street Fighter 6’s base roster when it launches.

Juri needs no introduction. She first appeared in Super Street Fighter 4 and instantly became a popular addition to the franchise. She’s since been featured in Street Fighter 5, Street Fighter X Tekken, and even Bandai Namco’s crossover RPGs Project X Zone and Project X Zone 2. Juri remains a thrill seeker in Street Fighter 6 and enjoys targeting and destroying her enemies. With M. Bison’s defeat in Street Fighter 5, however, Juri is looking for a new focus.

Both Kimberly and Juri were previously rumored to be part of the Street Fighter 6 roster following a series of major leaks after the game was announced. That Capcom leak featured 22 different characters, of which 6 have now been confirmed for Street Fighter 6. Suffice to say, there are still a lot of characters left to announce before Street Fighter 6 arrives.

For those interested in watching the official announcement of Kimberly and Jury, so long as Capcom doesn’t change its plans, EVO 2022’s Street Fighter 5: Championship Edition finals will be tonight. The Street Fighter 5 finals are expected to go live at 5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET, but it could be delayed if previous games go long.
